Nazareth Illit-based company with its US headquarters in Atlanta develops, manufactures and markets microelectrode recording and stimulation devices, including MicroGuide and TeleSpike, for neurosurgery and neuroscience. Their products can be found in the best hospitals, universities, and research institutes around the world based on superior technology, service, and personal attention through a global professional sales and support team and network of worldwide partners. For the past 4 years, achieved profitability with a CAGR of more than 15%, and the US office has grown to 5 employees since it was established in 2002, with 28 employees overall. Competes in the same markets as many large companies such as Medtronic and St. Jude.

   

cVidya, a Herzliya based software solutions company, was chosen to provide and implement a revenue assurance system by Atlanta-based Commnet Wireless, a subsidiary of Atlantic Tele-Network which provides cellular and wireline services to under-served markets in North America and the Caribbean. This enterprise wide deal will enable cVidya’s product to be used at multiple locations across the US, and Commnet will see significant savings based on their new ability to identify quantifiable revenue leakages across revenue streams. Commnet is cVidya’s first Georgia-based customer, and the deal will help to build a base of clients in the Southeast.

Ness Ziona-based company, with its business headquarters in New York and operations center in Atlanta, offers the only cloud-based communication service that delivers high quality video chat across every platform, and gives consumers and businesses an affordable way to communicate anywhere, anytime. Now the second largest video calling service worldwide with more than 24 million registered users and projected growth to 100 million users by 2013. Currently has 100 employees worldwide, and expects to hire 30 new workers in Israel and several in the Atlanta center. Continuously supports the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce by helping facilitate video-conference in chamber events and meetings to bring together Israelis and members throughout the Southeast.

Karmiel-based Opgal is a manufacturer and supplier of enhanced imaging cameras, thermal imaging core engines, and custom made solutions for the defense, security, aviation, and gas leak detection industries. Atlanta-based Vumii develops and markets specialized day / night surveillance camera systems that produce video with extraordinary details in zero light at ranges out to and beyond 4000 meters. Opgal acquired Vumii in 2010 to expand its security products business unit and enter the US market. In addition to adding US geography to Opgal, Vumii adds new product categories and access to certain international markets previously not addressable by Opgal. The combined entity has about 150 employees with expected job growth in both Atlanta and Israel.

Tel Aviv-based company, is a global leader in software solutions that capture and analyze complex, underused information sources to power more informed, timely, and effective business decisions. More than 10,000 organizations in 150 countries use Verint solutions to improve enterprise performance and make the world a safer place. With 2,800 employees and offices worldwide, nearly 1/3 are dedicated to R&D, and have produced over 500 patents and applications. Verint established itself in Georgia through the 2007 acquisition of Witness Systems for over $950 million, and now has 300 employees, having recently increased its staff in Atlanta by 10%. Over the past five years, revenue grew significantly from approximately $279 million to nearly $704 million, with operating margins in excess of 20%.

    

Birmingham-based Ion247 is a security solutions provider that delivers remote video guarding, remote access control, and security system integration services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for homes, businesses and communities. Rishon Lezion-based FST21 has developed SafeRise®, an intelligent controlled solution utilizing biometrics that revolutionizes the way people enter buildings by providing easy, automated and convenient access for residents and guests while maintaining the highest level of security. Ion247 has installed four SafeRise systems in the last several months including the first in the Southeast at Birmingham’s Faush Metropolitan Manor. Ion247 is positioning Birmingham and the rest of the Southeast as the hub of this new technology and service.
